Ethnography and Spirituality HTE668 / B
Theological reflection involves engaging with the established wisdom from theological, scriptural, religious, spiritual, and cultural traditions, drawing upon core values and practices to gain deeper understanding. This class introduces and practices a method for creating theology and a normative theory of peace studies that emphasizes experience. Rooted in Ignatian spirituality and using ethnographic tools introduced in the course, students will learn methods of observation, reflection, and theory building. By the end of the course, each student will produce a theology grounded in their own life experience, adding their voice to ongoing traditions.
