Community life

Each year, AMBS becomes a place for nearly 200 people to grow in ministry. It is a place of worship, study, friendships and renewal. For many it also is home. Here you will meet students from ten or more countries, and students and faculty who have served around the world. A microcosm of the world church gathers to learn and worship at AMBS.
The 33-acre campus, sheltered with more than 3,000 trees, is both a place of retreat and a place to become engaged with issues facing the church and the world.
People are central to the experience at AMBS, and many students say they learn from discussions over a cup of coffee just as they do in classes. Worship also is vital with chapel services, a labyrinth for meditation, and one-on-one spiritual direction. Resources for learning include a library with online access to many other academic libraries throughout the region.
Recreation is important for students and their families. Open fields on the campus provide space for soccer and ultimate frisbee. Playground facilities are available for children.
Facilities include the requisite classrooms, many with the capability of multimedia presentations. Forty-five apartments and two guesthouses are on the campus. The Lambright Center features a large dining room and varying sizes of meeting rooms. The cornerstone of the campus is the chapel.
