Special Events and Meals

Light meals are available for Monday supper and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday lunches. Participants must pre-register; if you do not, please plan to eat off campus. Tuesday supper is on your own. Other special meals and events are listed below.

Lunch for newcomers

All participants who are on the AMBS campus for the first time are invited to a complimentary lunch on Tuesday. Please indicate when registering if you plan to attend and bring your lunch tray to Lambright Center Room H on that day.

Hesston College Pastoral Ministries Program

Alumni from Hesston's pastoral ministries program will gather on Tuesday for a reunion lunch in Lambright Center Rooms C-D.

Affinity Group Lunch

Wednesday noon: We invite interested participants to join a group of pastors who hold a similar role. When you register, please indicate your top two choices or suggest a group you would like to add.

Pastor as Artist

You are invited to join in celebrating the role of the arts in the lives of ministering people. Tuesday evening, January 26, participants will gather in the AMBS Lambright Center around dessert and coffee to enjoy musical pieces, short readings, dance, poetry, visual arts and more. We invite you to prepare both a work to offer and a few words about how your artistic expression and ministry intersect. Rebecca Slough, AMBS academic dean, will facilitate. Pastors Week Banquet

Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. Entertainment by Jim Loepp Thiessen and Allan Rudy Froese of Kitchener, Ontario.

Dessert with faculty

Thursday noon: During dessert at Thursday’s lunch, AMBS faculty will share about their current research and work in the church.

Dinner and Dialogue at Goshen College

Enjoy a complimentary buffet dinner, faculty speakers, worship, dialogue circles with Goshen College administrators and faculty and coffee with GC students from your conference.
