Missy Kauffman Schrock named director of development
Missy Kauffman Schrock of Goshen, Ind., has been named director of development for Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary. She fills the position previously held by Leroy Saner, who retired at the end of June.

Schrock has been manager of the Depot MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) Thrift Shops in Goshen for the last five years. Previous to this she was manager of the Et Cetera Shop and Ten Thousand Villages store in Bluffton, Ohio, for five years. She earned a B.S. in Christian Ministries from Eastern Mennonite University and has studied at AMBS.
As director of development, Schrock will manage the planning and work of the seminary development office, with primary focus on raising funds for the annual operational budget and promoting strong church-seminary relations.
“Missy brings energy and proven management experience in relating to the church, donors and volunteers,” Ron Ringenberg, vice president, said. “She has a heart for the work she has been doing and we look forward to her bringing that commitment and her leadership skills to the mission of AMBS.”
Schrock said, “ I am looking forward to sharing the stories and vision of AMBS and inviting people to participate in shaping the future of the Mennonite Church through supporting theological education. While I realize these are challenging economic times, I am excited to be joining the development staff at AMBS.”
Schrock is married to John Schrock, who is a graduate of AMBS and is pastor of Bonneyville Mennonite Church, Bristol, Ind. They have two children.
