Printing Full Text from ATLA (Religion Database)

Full text articles supplied by ATLA Serials include this line "Full Text From ATLA: Click here for ATLA Serials electronic resource".  To print readable text:

1. Know the beginning and ending page numbers of the article you want to print.

2. When you have the article displayed on the screen, press "Print" in the upper right corner.

3.  Step 1) Enter the beginning and ending page numbers in the boxes.

4.  Step 2)   If this box is left blank, the default setting is 95%. The resulting print should be fuzzy but readable.

If you choose to enter a percentage in the box to increase the size of the image, be sure to put % after the numbers, i.e., 100%. If you do not enter the percent sign (%), the image will be very tiny on the screen and in the printout.

Using 100% may cause extra blank pages to print because invisible page breaks are inserted by the browser. Experiment with different percentages until you find the one that works the best with your browser and printer.

5.  Step 3)  Follow remaining directions.

Printing from the online text does not result in as nice a text for reading as photocopying the article from the journal in the library. This is because the ATLAS articles are images, ATLA plans to make text files available in a future enhancement of ATLAS.
