Where can I find women's voices in biblical scholarship?
The Women's Bible Commentary (REF 220.7 W87 1998) has
essays by women on the individual books of the Bible. Each includes a bibliography.
The IVP Women's Bible Commentary (REF 220.7 I96) has essays
on the individual books of the Bible interspersed with topical articles. Includes
bibliographies.
The Feminist Companion to the Bible series includes volumes
on a number of the books in the canon.
Do a title search in the online catalog for "feminist companion to the".
Then browse the results.
In the online catalog and the ATLA Religion Database, do a keyword
search for items containing the words Bible and feminine or feminist. Then browse
the results. You will retrieve items with the subject heading "feminist
criticism" and other items with these words in the title or contents notes.

What does ATLA stand for?
The American Theological Library Association. This
professional association of librarians began indexing journals and book reviews in 1949
and multi-author works in 1960. In the early 1990's the indexing was converted to
electronic form for the creation of the ATLA Religion Database.
