Biblical studies scholars have assembled lists of publications on various portions of the Bible. Consulting a bibliography is a useful way to identify articles and essays on a particular scripture text. Bibliographies are shelved in the 016 section of the circulating collection, at the west end of the north wing. Try browsing in the 016.22 area. Here are some examples of what you will find:
Thompson, Henry O. The Book of Jeremiah: An Annotated Bibliography. Scarecrow Press, 1996. Has a scripture index. 016.2242 T48
Wagner, Gunter. An Exegetical Bibliography of the New Testament. Mercer University Press, 1983- . Listed by scripture text. The entire New Testament was done on 3x5 cards. Some cards have been printed in volumes. 016.225 W13
Van Segbroeck, Frans. The Gospel of Luke: A Cumulative Bibliography. Leuven University Press, 1989. Has a scripture index. 016.2264 S45
