Services for AMBS-GP Faculty
The best way for AMBS to provide library materials and services for
each AMBS-GP class depends on the resources that are to be used for each class and how
those resources can be supplied. Some options are:
For required readings:
- Textbooks purchased by the student.
Online books and journal articles (through netLibrary and
ATLA
Religion Database).
Reserve shelf at the Bethel College library (AMBS books and/or Bethel
College books). Remember that evening and weekend students may be unable to
spend time in the Bethel College Library. This service costs AMBS-GP $5/book.
Course packs prepared by AMBS-GP staff with copyright permissions
secured by AMBS library staff. (Reading list must be submitted to the AMBS Librarian
at least two months prior to the first class meeting.)
For recommended supplementary readings:
- Bethel College library materials
- AMBS library materials lent directly to the student or faculty
- Bethel College library interlibrary loan for items not available from
AMBS
- Other college and community library collections in the central Kansas
area
Please contact me to discuss which
options are appropriate for your specific course objectives.
