The study reflected in this certificate develops gifts and skills of leaders with the responsibility for overseeing the educational ministry of the congregation or school, including teacher training and formation.
Courses listed below with an * are required for the certificate described. Other courses listed are strongly suggested. There is some freedom to devise some aspects of a certificate course of study in consultation with the Certificate Program adviser.

For bivocational pastors, congregational leaders and members, pastors new to the Mennonite Church
This certificate allows people serving congregations to tailor a course of study to address their specific educational needs for ministry. People pursuing this degree should work closely with their advisers to develop a plan of study that will build an appropriate knowledge base and will develop needed skills for ministry.
